Our client is a “unicorn” start-up with exponential expansion in Brazil.
Reporting directly to the SVP of Communications & Public Affairs and dotted line to the local CEO, this professional will be responsible for supporting all matters of Government and Public Relations of the company in Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Constant mapping of risks and identification of positive agendas that may impact the business
- Develop a clear government relations strategy, working closely with all key internal stakeholders (Tax, Legal, Communication, Marketing, Sales) to maximize competitive advantage and management of day-to-day issues
- Coordination of institutional reputation actions together with the Communication team.
- Legislative monitoring and construction of public policies relevant to the company
- Direct interaction with Brazil’s Executive and Legislative Branch bodies (mainly with the Estate of São Paulo at the beginning)
- Technical and strategic performance on the company’s agendas in order to ensure increased competitiveness in its market.
- Close interface with Class Associations, Third Sector Entities, and Regulatory Bodies
Requirements
- This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional with proven experience in Government & Public Relations, solid knowledge of the Brazilian political scene and its specificities, as well as previous experience in multinational companies (preferably from startups, technology or retail sectors), and in government bodies;
- Leadership, sense of ownership, diplomacy, strong communication and engagement power, transparency, analytical capacity, ability to build sustainable relationships with all stakeholders, strategic thinking combined with strong execution, as well as interpersonal skills complete the profile;
- Fluent English is essential, and Spanish will be considered a plus.
