About the job
This person will be expected to liaise with the local UNHCR Brazil team and with Project Support Unit (PSU) team at HQ to keep abreast of UNHCR’s programs in Brazil and globally, the corresponding budgets, and the funding opportunities for private sector donors in Brazil and globally.
Requirements
- Two years of relevant work experience with Bachelor Degree in International Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Economics, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences Fundraising, or other relevant field;
- Previous experience with exposure to an international environment at humanitarian or development organizations;
- Ability to produce high-quality written materials tailored to specific audiences;
- Knowledge of partnerships, fundraising, relationships with donors, external partners, sales, marketing and communications;
- English: advanced level;
- Tools: SharePoint 365 platform and CRM.
Responsibilities
- Support the outreach to and engagement of PPH donors, and all activities relevant for the acquisition and strengthening of relationships with them, depending on the local market and philanthropic landscape;
- Draft compelling proposals, reports, fact sheets and other materials targeting PPH donors, in close collaboration with PSP global teams;
- Research, archive and maintain information on donor partners and new prospects, including keeping up to date biographical information, key philanthropic activities, up to date capital information, moves and actions plans (cultivation plans), tasks and events;
- Use Salesforce database to monitor PPH activity;
- Undertake ongoing research and data collection to identify new prospects, highlight potential priority prospects and thus build a prospect pipeline;
- Consolidate data for financial reports and presentations on income, expenditure and budgets, and similar reporting requirements.
