Job Description (Roles and Responsibilities)

Carrying out research on Brazilian politics;

Provide support for policy monitoring. Responsibilities include writing briefs on local government/stakeholders, monitoring local news.

Provide support for projects and events. Responsibilities include arranging meetings, booking venues, setting up events (branding, catering, etc.), coordinating mailing lists, sending and following up on invitations, etc.

Assist in the organisation of visits to and from the UK and Brazil, including arranging accommodation, transport, briefing packs and meetings.

Taking meeting notes and drafting reports;

Preparing other documents for the team as required;

Translating documents, as required.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
Have an ongoing education degree – 2nd or 3rd year student in Political Science, International Relations, Law, Public Relations or other related disciplines and have good IT skills.

He/she should be interested in the bilateral relations between Brazil and the United Kingdom.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
A good understanding of Brazilian politics and the Brazilian legal system would be a strong advantage.
