The UNDP aims at offering to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to experience the day-to-day work of an international research centre that acts as a global forum for policy dialogue and knowledge sharing in development innovations.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a graduate school programme in fields such as International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Public Policies, Economics, Statistics, Data Sciences, International Law and related fields, or at least in the final academic year of a first university degree programme in the same fields;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Have a professional or academic experience in development policies, social policy, social protection, research, report writing on social and public policies/programmes or with humanitarian assistance;
- Soft skills: integrity, fairness, strong oral and written communications, share information on assigned tasks with accuracy and clarity and be able to communicate with government and UN partners.
Responsibilities
- Undertake literature reviews, especially in relation to social protection policies in the Middle-East and North Africa Region;
- Search for relevant data and engage in preliminary analysis for research projects;
- Support the development and revision of project documents, meetings minutes and questionnaires in English;
- Attend online meetings with partner governments and UN Agencies;
- Assist in the organization of meetings and in taking minutes, as well as communicating with partners;
- Attend meetings and virtual training with the research team and project stakeholders.
