THE OPPORTUNITY

The Australian Embassy in Brasilia is seeking an energetic and talented individual to contribute to the Embassy’s corporate enabling services agenda.  Under direction of the Senior Administrative Officer, the Property Officer/Local Area Network Administrator (LANA) is responsible for property-related matters and providing LANA services for the Embassy.  The position involves undertaking procurement, effecting required documentation, and liaison with stakeholders.  It is a busy position and requires well-developed organisational skills and attention to detail.  The position is part of the Corporate Team and will assist the Team in wider duties when the need arises.

 

WHO WE ARE

The Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government.  DFAT also works with other Australian government agencies to pursue Australia’s global, regional and bilateral interests. Current Embassy priorities include expanding trade and investment between Australia and Brazil; promoting the rules-based international order and enhancing Australia’s influence through partnerships in Brazil.

 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Ideally, you will have at least two years of property or project management experience.  You will be an organised individual with an eye for detail, who will be able to apply policies and instructions to your work.  You will be an effective communicator with good command of English and Portuguese.  We seek someone who has the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
