If so, Euromonitor’s Research team is recruiting for an exciting role for our São Paulo office.

About the role

The Research Associate will work individually as well as with the team to update, develop and drive new and existing data and reports for several industries, focused on Beauty and Fashion – Beauty and Personal Care, Consumer Health and Luxury, among others.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate a keen interest in the industries above, and knowledge of local consumer trends and lifestyles. We are looking for self-starting, autonomous individuals willing to take on full personal responsibility for projects assigned, ensuring their results meet high quality standards and exceed client expectations. Strong communication skills are also expected.

The position reports to a Research Manager in São Paulo, while working closely with peers in other Euromonitor’s offices such as Chicago, London, Santiago etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Secondary research: gathering and scrutinizing information from a variety of industry/company sources, understanding methodologies and developing a critical analysis of them;
  • Validate market data, including integrity of company and brand information;
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, with special focus on local industry performance, and share knowledge with other Analysts and Research Manager, as well as incorporate them into project deliverables;
  • Primary research (trade interviewing): direct contact with companies, supply chain stakeholders and industry experts to enhance quantitative and qualitative information;
  • Developing close contacts across industries to ensure a strong depth of insights into market performance and trends;
  • Write and edit strategic reports and contribute to some of our multimedia content types, such as articles, videocasts, podcasts, regional briefings, etc.;
  • Respond directly to clients regarding queries through deep understanding of published data and reports;
  • Work with our publication schedules and ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner and to our high-quality standards;
  • Closely cooperate with Euromonitor’s internal teams across other offices to ensure all internal know-how and expertise is accessible as well as to share insights, know-how, sources, etc. gained;
  • Attend conferences, giving presentations at industry events, participating in PR activities representing the company.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year Market Research track record, proven skills in desk research and trade interviewing;
  • Experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English;
  • A degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics or other related field;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • High level of numeracy;
  • Ability to interpret, analyze and present statistics in an interesting and creative way;
  • Time management and organizational skills;
  • Tenacity and attention to detail;
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Tableau is a plus;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, including cross-office collaboration around the world.
