About the Company
The UNDP is recruiting a Subject Matter Expert who is able to provide short-term advisory services related to social registries and social protection progamme’s management, primarily in IPC-IG´s projects with UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office and Country Offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Sociology or related area;
- For candidates with completed Bachelor’s degree: 7 years of relevant experience in related area at national or international level;
- For candidates with completed Master’s degree: 5 years of relevant experience in related area at national or international level;
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with single registries, in the development of legal, operational and management instruments for the implementation of social protection programme MIS, on social protection policy analysis and design, working with international organizations in the area of Social Protection, Development and/or South-South Cooperation, or leading and coordinating teams;
- At least 3 years of academic experience in developing research reports;
- Professional experience conducting interviews with government stakeholders;
- Professional experience facilitating workshops;
- UN/UNDP experience is an advantage;
- Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish will be considered an asset;
- Fluency in oral and written English and Portuguese.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and guide projects that involve the analysis of social protection MIS and single registries;
- Prepare project and research proposals;
- Write assessment reports on social protection MIS;
- Review outlines, papers and presentations;
- Participate in meetings with partners;
- Present the project’s results to partners and stakeholders;
- Realize workshops with partners and stakeholders and participate in interviews, if needed;
- Develop research papers;
- Present research.
