Job Description

The Sales Development Representative (SDR), Contract, is responsible for inside sales lead generation. The SDR is tasked with sourcing sales leads that support and enhance ABS businesses. In order to ensure success, the SDR will use multiple sourcing methods and partner with the various business development team members and leaders to accomplish broader goals.

What You Will Do:

  • Contact prospective customers to introduce products and services, explain product features, and schedule client meetings for Account Managers (AM).
  • Select appropriate AM to recommend products and services based on customers’ needs and interests.
  • Convince others to buy products and services or change their minds or actions.
  • Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, on social media, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others over time.
  • Observing, receiving, researching, and obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor’ degree or recognized equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge of specified products and services to be sold.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy, tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • An entrepreneurial mentality enables the incumbent to recognize and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Able to work in a result-driven organization.
  • Can assess the reasonableness and likelihood of success of various business scenarios.
  • Ability to commit to ethical business practices per ABS Operating
    Principles and Mission and corporate policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client-facing environments.
    English language fluency to conduct detailed business and technical communication at a professional level.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to a manager.

Working Conditions:

Work will normally be performed in an air-conditioned office environment with a comfortable setting and will be non -manual in nature.
